约翰·汤纳·威廉斯（英语：John Towner Williams，1932年2月8日－），通常簡稱為約翰·威廉斯或約翰·威廉姆斯，生於美國紐約市長島，好萊塢知名作曲家、钢琴家、指挥家、電影配樂家。 約翰·威廉斯於1948年隨其家人遷居洛杉磯，他在那裡就讀過加州大學洛杉磯分校、洛杉磯市學院，並曾跟隨卡斯泰尔诺沃-泰代斯科學習作曲。 在空軍役畢後，他返回紐約進入朱利亞德學院深造，並跟隨 Rosina Lhevinne 學習鋼琴。在紐約時，他以爵士樂鋼琴演奏家為工作，並在俱樂部表演和錄音。回到洛杉磯後，他開始了在電影事業的工作。他於60年代曾為許多電視節目作曲，並贏取過四座艾美獎。 威廉斯作曲及指揮過的電影音樂超過一百部影片，包括《星球大战系列》、《超人》、《E.T.》、《虎克船長》、《辛德勒的名單》、《侏儸紀公園》、《夺宝奇兵系列》、《神鬼交鋒》、《哈利波特》（前三部）、《關鍵報告》、《決戰時刻》、《丁丁歷險記》、《失落的世界》。他至今已获奥斯卡奖提名45次，其中40次原创配乐类奖项提名，5次原创歌曲提名，最终5次获奖，得獎作品為：《屋顶上的小提琴手》（"Fiddler on the Roof"，获第44届原创或改编歌曲配乐奖）、《大白鲨》（"Jaws"，获第48届原创配乐奖）、《星球大战4，获第50届原创配乐奖》（"star wars episode IV: a new hope"）、《E.T.外星人》（"E.T. the extra-terrestrial"，获第55届原创配乐奖）及《辛德勒的名单》（"Schindler's list"，获第66届原创配乐奖）。此外他至今还获得了20次金球奖提名并4度获奖。 1980年1月，威廉斯出任當時已有85年歷史的波士頓大眾管弦樂團的第19任指揮，直到1993年12月才卸任。 威廉斯为1984年奥运会开幕式创作了奥运会主题音乐交响乐《奥林匹克鼓号》（Olympic Fanfare and Theme），为1996年亚特兰大奥运会创作了《召唤英雄》（Summon The Heroes）。

Not for sale, but only for audio video production, this record has been entirely written and performed by the master himself, for acoustic folk guitars (2 guitar parts recorded separately). Astonishing also because the very simple melodies do not really represent the many talents of the composer. The tunes are flowing without any originality. To be listened while driving, maybe..
