Review"The Seasons" is a Jacques Perrin's film released in 2016, whose soundtrack was composed by Bruno Coulais, French composer, famous for its very many film musics such as: Microcosmos (1996), Don Juan (1997), Belle maman (1998), le libertin (1999) or les rivières pourpres (2000) etc ...
This is not a first common experience between the director and the musician who already collaborated on documentaries such as Le peuple de l'herbe, Microcosmos, Voyageurs du ciel et de la mer or Le peuple migrateur.
We find in this latest installment, a discreet and varied music based on the symphonic writing, dear to the composer. However, it retains a taste for opera and vocal music in general, and the mixture of extra western music with classical symphonic music. His music achieves a synthesis of world music and even contemporary music. |
